The Dendermonde section of the East Flanders Public Prosecutor's Office announced the news on Wednesday.
The events occurred around 1:00 a.m. on the E40 car park in Wetteren, where groups of human traffickers have already been dismantled in the past. The victim, an Eritrean migrant, was stabbed and did not survive his injuries. The exact circumstances of the dispute have yet to be clarified.
A judicial inquiry has been opened. Several truck drivers are interviewed as witnesses.
