Explosion at a waste processing company: one dead and several wounded
One person lost his life and four were injured after a major explosion at the waste processing company Indaver in Stabroek, near Antwerp. It is not yet clear how the explosion could have happened.
The four injured have since been transferred to a hospital, but their condition is unknown. According to the company itself, the explosion was very local and there is no danger for the environment. It is not yet clear how the explosion could have happened. There is no fire, but there would have been debris on the A12.
In February there was also an explosion at the same company. A black plume of smoke was visible from the motorway. But there were no injuries.
