The most popular museum group in Belgium is the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Brussels. Last year it attracted 664,221 visitors. The group includes gems like the Magritte Museum, the Fin-de-siècle Museum, the Old Masters Museum, the Meunier Museum and the Wiertz Museum.
The Middelheim Museum up in Antwerp came home in second position attracting a whopping 659,984 visitors in 2017. Also in Antwerp the MAS Museum on the River brought in a crowd of over 607,000. In fourth place we find the Royal Belgian Institute for Sciences with 327,866 visitors, while in Ieper the In Flanders Fields Museum devoted to the events of the Great War was worth a trip out West for 221,000 visitors.
