The palace has confirmed that the queen suffered a slight stroke. She recovered spontaneously and will not have any permanent damage. The queen has been given "appropriatie preventative medicines".
Queen Paola and her husband, King Albert, insisted on the tests being carried out in Belgium by doctors familiar with her condition.
