The Antwerp Christian Democrat local council candidate that was suspected of having smuggled heroin into France has been found not guilty by a French court. Rediart Cankja was detained last month after 3kg of heroine were found in the car he was travelling in. However, he had no knowledge of the drugs that belonged to his wife. She was driving the car that Mr Cankja was travelling in. He was immediately scrapped from the list in the Antwerp district where he was standing.
