Brussels: child prostitutes working for 5 euros

A shocking report from Myria, Belgium's federal migration centre, has revealed that Belgium serves as an important hub when it comes to Nigerian prostitution networks involving underage girls.

Researchers and investigators are aware of underage girls who are prepared to have sex for 5 euros.

Belgium's People Trafficking unit, a federal police body, is on the case and possesses officers who are specialised in African prostitution networks.

Franz Manuel Vandelook: "Since as early as 1994 we've been busy fighting Nigerian people trafficking.  After a quarter of a century we still see that very young girls are still being exploited for sex thousands of kilometres from their homes.  This being said: we should not be desperate."
