Computer Crime Unit is short-staffed

There are serious staff shortages at the Federal Police Computer Crime Unit. The unit was set up to deal with the growing issue of online crime. While the unit is meant to have a staff of 44 there are currently just 13 people working there. Young IT experts are lured by higher salaries in the ICT industry rather than the more modest wages offered by the police. The staff shortage is having adverse effect on investigations into cases of cybercrime.
