PM holds talks with the Federal Parliament Group Leaders

The Federal Premier Charles Michel (Francophone liberal) has embarked on a round of talks with the various parties that are represented in the Federal Parliament. First in line was the leader of the Flemish nationalist group in the Federal Parliament Peter De Roover.

With the Federal Government no longer having a majority, parliament will play a key role in the decision-making process.

Mr Michel is meeting with all the “democratic parties”

Last in the line are the Flemish socialists. The Prime Minister will meet with them at 5pm.

Meanwhile, a conference of the leaders of the various political groups represented in the Chamber of Representatives has been called to decide when the Prime Minister should give a declaration to parliament on the political situation. This will probably be tomorrow. On Thursday and Friday Mr Michel is expected at the EU Brexit summit.
