Groom stabbed during "happiest day of your life"!
It's supposed to be the happiest day of your life, but for a young man from Wielsbeke in West Flanders it turned out to be a wedding from hell as he was stabbed during the course of the festivities at the local cultural centre. Kortrijk prosecutors are investigating the matter.
The stabbing occurred when one of the guests was refused a drink of beer because he was already inebriated. The guest then proceeded to stab the bridegroom in the neck. The groom was badly injured and had to be taken to hospital. Fortunately, the groom is no longer fighting for his life.
Police have arrested a suspect, who is no stranger to them.
