Boy who fell through roof fights for his life
A boy of thirteen is fighting for his life after he was seriously injured in a fall through the roof of an abandoned shed.
The accident happened on an industrial estate on the outskirts of Bruges. The 13-year-old was at play with a 15-year-old friend when the accident occurred. The boy had climbed onto the roof of the shed, when a plate of corrugated iron gave way and the lad fell straight through the roof. It was a fall of ten metres landing the seriously injured boy in hospital in the run up to Christmas. Fortunately his friend had alerted the emergency services who sped him to hospital. The boy had suffered massive injuries to his head.
The boy's parents were notified. Police are now investigating the matter and trying to establish what exactly happened.
