Schoolchildren play truant for the climate!

Several groups of schoolchildren on Thursday joined a protest in support of our climate outside Brussels Central Station.  The children were inspired by Sweden's Greta Turnberg, a 15-year-old who told delegates at the Katowice climate summit what's what!

Here in Belgium around a thousand schoolchildren joined the protest.  They are concerned about our climate and are demanding action from our politicians.  The protest is the initiative of Kyra (19) and Anuna (17), two pupils from the Mortsel Royal Atheneum School.  The two launched an appeal on social media asking schoolchildren to play truant for the climate!

The youngsters plan to repeat their protest each and every Thursday until they get an adequate response to global warming from politicians.
