Proximus union announces strike for next Tuesday

The Christian trade union ACV cash called on its members that work for the telecom company Proximus to take strike action on Tuesday. The strike action will be in protest against Proximus’ plans to scrap 1,900 jobs as part of a restructuring plan.

The Christian trade union has issued a strike notices and calls on all Proximus employees to gather at the Proximus Tower in Brussels on Tuesday. ACV’s Ben Coremans told the press agency Belga that “Our members was to send out a signal. They want respect”.

The Christian trade union assumes the liberal and socialist unions will join its action.
