Cash machine blown up at Limburg Bank

Robbers have blown up a cash machine at a branch of the BNP Paribas bank in the Limburg municipality of Hamont-Achel. It was the second such incident in the north of Limburg Province in the space of a week. Gas was used to blow up the ATM. 

The explosion damaged the windows of the bank and a number of other buildings in the vicinity. Nobody was injury in the explosion. It is still not clear whether any cash was taken.

The square where the bank is located has been cordoned off by police. Last Sunday an ATM machine was blown up at a post office in Kinrooi.
