Drug courier caught near to Eurostar check-in

A man that was caught with 250g of cocaine and heroin on his person at Brussels South Railway Station last week has been placed under arrest. Although the man was detained on 17 January the news of his arrest wasn’t released until today.

The man was seen acting suspiciously and attacked the attention of officers from the Railway Police. He had been hanging around the Eurostar check-in at the station. He was taken away for questioning. A body and baggage search revealed that the man was carrying cocaine and heroin both on his person and in his luggage.

A echography carried out on the man’s body revealed that a quantity of drugs was also concealed inside his body. He was eventually found to be in possession of 250 grams of the class A drugs.

The man has previous convictions for narcotics offences. He has been remanded in custody by the Judicial Authorities.
