Anderlecht gain Play-off I place, AA Gent and Sint-Truiden must wait until final game to know their fate

On the penultimate day of play in the regular First Division competition all the games were played on Sunday evening. With one match still left to play 5 teams are already certain of participation in Play-off I. The teams that compete in Play-off I have a chance of winning the League Championship and of taking the majority of Belgium’s places in European competitions. KRC Genk; Club Brugge, RFC Antwerp, Standard de Liège and RSC Anderlecht are now certain of a Play-off I place.

Meanwhile, AA Gent (6th) and Stint-Truiden (7th) are still both in the running. Coincidently, they play each other next weekend in what will no doubt be an exciting and nail-biting match.
