Drivers protest against aggression on Brussels public transport

A number of tram drivers that work for the Brussels public transport company MIVB refused to drive their vehicles out their depot on Tuesday morning. The drivers said that they had had enough of aggressive behavior. A total of the capital’s 6 tram routes were affected by the action. The action was triggered by an a fight and stabbing on the platform of the Lemonier underground tram stop in Central Brussels on Friday evening. Services returned to normal by Tuesday lunchtime after management had agreed to address the drivers concerns.
