7 Belgians questioned after violent yellow vest protests in France

Yellow vest protests across France turned violent on Saturday. Over 200 delinquents were arrested, among them were 7 Belgians who were taken in for questioning. The news was confirmed by the Belgian Foreign Office this morning. According to French media, they were seen looting, but this has not been officially confirmed.

The yellow vest movement took to the streets for the 18th successive weekend, but yesterday's protests were particularly violent in various French cities. One of their targets were expensive shops on the Champs Elysées. President Emanuel Macron announced strong measures to deal with the troublemakers.

The first reports were talking about three Belgians being apprehended, but in the afternoon this number was adjusted to reach seven.
