Jane Goodall: "I hope that those joining school strikes for fun, will also become passionate"

The British biologist and antropologist Jane Goodall, who became famous when studying the behaviour of chimpansees, was in Belgium this weekend, entertaining youngsters about the chimpansees. Almost 85, Goodall also ventured out in the countryside with the children in Tongeren (Limburg). "It's very important that they understand it's not too late to do something", she said. Goodall's organisation is engaged in reforestation, but the biologist also hopes the young generation will develop respect for humans, animals and nature alike.
