Genk beaten, an historic win for Club Brugge, onwards and upwards for Standard
The second matches of this season’s Play-off I competition have been played over the past few days. The league-leaders KRC Genk lost their game away at RFC Antwerp by one goal to nil on Tuesday evening. On Wednesday Standard de Liège made it two straight wins with a 1-2 victory away at AA Genk. On Thursday evening Club Brugge narrowed the gap with KRC Genk at the top of the table to just 1 point after a 2-3 win away at Sporting Anderlecht. It was Club Brugge’s first away win at Anderlecht for more than 20 years.
