It was the first time that the brothers had raced together as a relay team. They were more than 3.5 seconds faster than the Northern Colorado University team that came in second with a time of 3:11.04.
The brothers had already been in action in individual events. Kevin Borlée ran an excellent time of 20.99 seconds in the 200 metres. Dylan Borlée came in second with a time of 21.17 seconds. Their little brother Rayane came in 21st in the 200 metres with a time of 22.46 seconds.
The Borlée brothers and other athletes trained by their father Jacques are preparing for the World Relays in Yokohama on 11 and 12 May.
