More than 3 Tonnes of cocaine seized at Antwerp Docks

Customs officers have seized 3 tonnes of cocaine during routine checks at the port of Antwerp. The seizure comes on top of the 617kg of the drug that were discovered among a consignment of tinned tuna earlier this month. The Judicial Authorities have launched an investigation.

 

The 3,000kg of cocaine was concealed in a consignment of rice that was destined for The Netherlands. The drugs were found earlier this week during routine customs checks. The Belgian Customs have informed the Dutch authorities about the drugs seizure.

On Friday we reported that customs in Antwerp had found 617kg of cocaine during routine checks carried out earlier this month. Then the drugs were concealed among a consignment of tinned tuna from Ecuador.
