Body of missing man found 6 months after his disappearance

The body of man that was first reported missing on 9 December 2018 has been found buried on an industrial estate in the Brussels district of Haren. The Brussels Judicial Authorities have confirmed that the human remains found in Haren last Sunday were those of Mohamed Harrouchy from Schaarbeek (Brussels). 

Stéphanie Lagasse of the Brussels Judicial Authorities told journalists that "The deceased person that was found in Haren on 9 June is Mohamed Harrouchy. He disappeared on 9 December 2018 in Schaarbeek”. An Examining Magistrate has been assigned to investigate Mr Harrouchy’s death.    

41-year-old Mohamed Harrouchy was last seen on Sunday 9 December 2018 in the Portaelsstraat in Schaarbeek. The police issued a missing person’s notice appealing for information about the man’s whereabouts. His remains were found last Sunday on an industrial Estate on the Verdunstraat in Haren, around 5km from where he was last seen.
