Met Office issues yellow alert for Friday
The Met Office is expecting blustery showers, possibly in combination with thunderstorms and gusts of wind today, and has issued a yellow alert.
Showers will come in from the north-west during the course of the day, weather forecasters say. They can bring a lot of rain in a short time, and possibly also hail because of the cold temperatures in the sky. Since they may be accompanied by strong winds, the Met Office has issued a yellow alert, the lowest warning on a scale which also includes orange and red, but still a warning. It has been dry for some time now, and it will become dry again in the next days.
