Three Belgians die in road accident in France

Three Belgians have been killed in a road accident in Montaigu-de Quercy in the southwest of France. For an as yet unknown reason their car left the road and crashed into a tree.  The accident happened at around 3pm on Thursday between Roquecor and Montaigu-de-Quercy, in the Tarn-et-Garonne Département.

According to the local news site La Dépêche, the vehicle left the road a corner and crashed into a plane tree. Five people were traveling in the car, the 61-year-old driver and a 57-year-old woman in the front of the vehicle and two 26-year-old men and a 21-year-old woman in the back.

The driver, one of the two young men and the young woman died at the scene. A fourth victim, the other young man, was seriously injured. He was taken by helicopter to hospital in Toulouse.

The 57-year-old woman escape with only minor injuries.
