Boy missing in River Ourthe found dead

Police and civil protection service divers resumed their search of  the River Ourthe in Liege Province this morning after a 15-year-old boy fell into the river on Wednesday. They recovered his body this morning.

The accident happened at Angleur outside Liege.  The boy was having fun with friends when he slipped into the river and disappeared when he was swept away by the current.  Fire-fighters spent the evening searching for him, but in vain.  Civil protection service divers resumed the search of the river this morning using sonar equipment provided by Zeebrugge police in the hope of finding the boy. Unfortunately, they recovered his dead body.
