Dominant Club Brugge humiliate Sint-Truiden

In what was their first home game of the season, Club Brugge gave their fans no shortage of things to cheer about. The team that finished second in the league last season outclassed their opponents Sint-Truiden on every level. The 6-0 score line (and it could have been more!) was a reflection of this. The South African Percy Tau scored in his first game for Club. The only downer For the West Flemings was the red card given to Openda.

After a rather difficult start Club Brugge Nigerian striker Okereke started to fire on all four cylinders. He scored two goals in less than 5 minutes, the first on 16 minutes and the second 20 minutes in.

With half time in sight Sint-Truiden slowed down a bit. Not a wise decision as Club turned things up a gear. Vanaken headed home Club Brugge’s third goal on 38 minutes with Percy Tau making it 4-0 on 43 minutes. The match was pretty done and dusted by half time.

After the break Sint-Truiden look lively for about a minute with De Bruyn having only the Club Brugge keeper Horvath to beat. However, it was not to be and Club dominated the rest of the half.

Dennis made it 5-0 on 72 minutes. Substitute Siebe Schrijvers also found the back of the net on 83 minutes. Sint-Truiden’s humiliation was complete.

Club Brugge have 6 points from 2 games, while Sint-Truiden are left without a single point.
