Buffaloes storm ahead to a 6-1 victory

AA Gent have enjoyed their first win of the new season. They made light work of beating a poor KAS Eupen by six goals to one in Ghent on Sunday afternoon. The convincing win for the Buffaloes comes just three days after their somewhat lacklustre performance in the return leg of their Europa League qualifying round tie in Romania.

Meno Koch’s own goal after just two minutes of play saw AA Gent go one-up. Nagdeu made it 2-0 to the Buffaloes six minutes later. KAS Eupen were no match for the East Flemings and goal’s from Bezoes on 31 minutes and a Jaremtsjoek penalty on 41 minutes made for a half time score of 4-0 to AA Genk.

The match was pretty much done and dusted after the first half. However, Siebe Blondelle gave the 100 or so KAS Eupen fans that had travelled the 200 or so kilometres to Ghent at least something to cheer about with his goal for the Pandas on 61 minutes.

Bezoes scored his second and AA Gent’s fifth goal of the afternoon on 90 minutes with Johnathan David making it 6-1 to the Buffaloes in the second minute of stoppage times. The result leaves AA with 4 points from their first two points. KAS Eupen still have no points.
