Lidl recall: “drinks bottles could burst in the heat”
Supermarket chain Lidl is taking two of its soft drinks of its shelves. There have been complaints about the quality of two litre bottles of Freeway Cola and Freeway Cola Light, Lidl’s own brand.
In the heat the bottom of the bottles could burst and the top could come loose of its own accord.
Two litre bottles of the brand Freeway Cola with best before date 24 and 25 July 2020 marked with the ME3 code as well as two litre bottles of Freeway Cola Light with the same code and best before date 26 July 2020 are being recalled. Bring the bottles back to your store. You will be refunded.
Lidl says the bottles shouldn’t be opened. They can be returned in a plastic bag while taking care to protect them from the sun and heat.
