Anderlecht win at last, Standard remain top
On what was the 6th day of play in the Belgian First Division, Sporting Anderlecht enjoyed their first victory of the new season, beating Standard de Liège by a single goal. Nevertheless Standard remain top having one point more than Club Brugge that have a game in hand. Club draw 1-1 against Belgium’s other Champions League representative KRC Genk on Sunday afternoon. In the lower reaches of the table Sint-Truiden enjoyed an important 0-2 win away at KAS Eupen.
