Centenary celebrations for Belgium's 3 children's agencies

A reception was held at the Heizel in Brussels on Friday morning to mark the centenary of the Flemish children’s agency Kind en Gezin and its Francophone and German-speaking counterparts. Their forerunner National Work for Child Welfare was set up in 1919 to reduce infant mortality. In 1980 the organisation was split along language community lines. Queen Mathilde joined around 3,000 staff of the 3 organisations at Friday’s celebration.
