Kasterlee stages annual "Pumpkin Regatta"

Kasterlee, in the Antwerp Kempen area, stages its annual "Pumpkin Regatta", in which participants try to cross a stretch of water in a hollowed-out giant pumpkin. The participants, both young and old, try to keep it dry, but also try to set the fastest time. It's an annual tradition in Kasterlee. The meat of the hollowed-out pumpkins was used to make soup.
