More than 6,400 laptops have already been sent to schools

The goal of collecting 10,000 laptops to enable disadvantaged youngsters to follow online pre-teaching classes at home has been reached. The not-for-profit organisation DigitalForYouth.be that has organised the collection of the laptops and their preparation for use by young people across the five Flemish provinces and Brussels announced on Sunday that 6,400 of the laptops have already been dispatched to schools. 

A months since the campaign to collect and a prepaid second hand laptops for use by pupils in schools Flanders and Dutch-medium schools in Brussels to enable them to follow classes online.

More than 13,000 laptops have been collected so far. In the immediate term 10,000 of the laptops will go to pupils at schools in the five Flemish provinces, 1,200 will go to pupils in Dutch-medium education in Brussels and 600 to pupils at German-medium schools in the 9 German-speaking municipalities in the East of Liège Province. Of these 6,400 have already been dispatched.
