Oil spill in the Port of Antwerp: two major sluices closed

A ship reportedly lost crude oil in the port of Antwerp last night. The oil was moving towards the entrance of two big sluices and had to be cleared. For that reason, the Zandvliet- en Berendrechtsluis were closed on Thursday morning. A special vessel was deployed to clean up the mess. However, ships were still able to enter the port via other sluices during this operation.
