Vincent Kompany puts his money in Anderlecht

The move comes after Wouter Vandenhaute becomes the new Anderlecht chairman.  Vandenhaute, who joined the club as external adviser four months ago, replaces Marc Coucke.

The Brussels football team has also unveiled a new plan aimed at restoring the club to its former glory.  Wouter Vandenhaute (bottom right) and Vincent Kompany will both invest in the club under the leadership of Karel Van Eetvelt, who became CEO in March.

Marc Coucke (bottom left) and other investors will cough up extra cash too. Vincent Kompany has given a commitment he will stay with the club even after 2022 when his players’ contract lapses.
