“Scrap face covering rule for primary school children” says Children’s Rights Commissioner

The Children’s Rights Commissioner Caroline Vrijens has called for the scrapping of a rule making the wearing of face coverings mandatory for children in the 5th and 6th years of primary school. The rule was brought in several months ago in order to try and curb the spread of coronavirus. Since then the rule has remained in force while other coronavirus restrictions have been relaxed.
