Scouts abandon camp as floods strike
Scouts from Steenokkerzeel (Flemish Brabant) camping out in Saint-Aubin (Namur Province) had to evacuate their campsite in a hurry yesterday evening when it was flooded by rain.
Some 40 youngsters in the 6-to-14 age category from the Saint Lutgardis chapter had set up tents when the floods struck. Leaders quickly decided to abandon the camp that had barely started for the youngest scouts.
