Brussel’s smallest house is up for sale

The smallest house in the Brussels-Capital Region is up sale. The asking price for the house that is located on the edge of the Sonian Forest in Watermaal-Bosvoorde is 195,000 euro.

On its website the estate agent that is selling the house Trevi describes it as “A unique property that is ideal for anyone that is looking for originality, charm and something that is exceptional”. The 60m²-house has a sitting room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a shower room.

The house is even smaller than a house on the Kaasmarkt in Brussels City Centre that had previously been dubbed “the smallest house in Brussels”. The house on the Kaasmarkt is 2.75 metres wide, while the house on the Terhulpensesteenweg in Watermaal-Bosvoorde is 2.15 metres wide.

Trevi’s Thibault Cooremans told journalists that selling the house isn’t proving easy and that just 4 potential buyers have asked to visit the property so far. "A 60m²-flat is small enough, but here the surface area is spread over three floors. This makes it difficult to furnish. Moreover, the house also needs to be completely renovated”.

"It would be ideal for an architect that wishes to show how you can make the best use of limited space”.
